ALL ABOUT FCF BASEBALL
The mission of Full Count Fundamentals is to mentor student athletes through the game of baseball to help them develop life lasting skills and discipline. We take pride in developing smarter, tougher and fundamentally sound players to help them achieve great success both on and off the field.
In 2006, Owner, Jacob Pepper started Full Count Fundamentals LLC, teaching hitting and pitching privately at Girsh Park in Goleta, CA. From his first private lesson that year to what is now a complete baseball resource, FCF Baseball has grown into Santa Barbara County's premier choice for a baseball experience. Every player, no matter age or ability has choices with our full spectrum of training options from individual fundamental training, athletic training, player development programs and tournaments, you can find it with Full Count Fundamentals.
Pepper grew up in Tucson, Arizona and played collegiate baseball at Pima College.
He then moved to Santa Barbara to completed his degree at UCSB, graduating in
2002. He has focused his career goals on teaching and coaching. He currently
lives in Goleta with his wife Alisa, a 15 year local realtor, and children, Jonah (7) and
Alex (5). This past fall, Pepper has returned to school to earn his Master of Education
and a Single-Subject Science Teaching Credential.
Pepper has privately coached and mentored players of all ages and abilities. He
has worked with athletes from Santa Barbara City College, most local high schools
and several youth baseball leagues throughout town. He is currently the Head
Baseball Coach at San Marcos High School. Many of Pepper's former students are
now enjoying the success of playing at the collegiate and professional level.
Full Count Fundamentals is aimed at providing an opportunity to student athletes who
want to take their game to the highest level. No matter what age, baseball skills can
be developed and perfected with the right preparation, understanding and dedication
Baseball is a game of reaction, quick decision-making and mental toughness. The development of proper fundamentals help the game become natural. For baseball players, game time excellence demands physical and mental preparation with the ability to have confidence in every situation. It is this combined training of the body and mind that will ultimately shape the complete player.
We look forward to developing a lasting relationship with all our players on a professional and personal level.
